Review
In case there is someone out there not familiar with the movie, I'll give you a brief rundown. A 26 foot Great White Shark develops a taste for the inhabitants of Amity Island just in time to ruin the summer tourist trade. Three brave souls risk life and limb for the honor of doing battle with the great sea beast. The movie which started the Blockbuster craze and thereby making it nearly impossible for small movies to get made anymore. Repent Mr. Spielberg. Use your power to fund a whole bunch of indies! One of the greatest Horror films of all time.

The Disc
Great job!!! Took a great movie and created a great DVD around it. Excellent widescreen presentation.

Picture Quality: 10/10
Nice. I finally got a good look at Crissy in the opening scene. Hope the wife doesn't read this.

Sound Quality: 10/10
Fine.

Menu: 8/10
Not real inventive but it gets the job done.

Extra Features: 9/10
Nice documentary full of present dat interviews with the cast and crew. Not much to the deleted scenes. Same goes for the outakes. Large production photo gallery. Cool storyboards including the book and first draft's original ending. Nice production note section. Just wish there had been a commentary track, but I'm spoiled. Would have received a 10 if there had been a commentary. The documentary includes everything that one would want in a commentary, but DVD owners like to watch the movie and hear the commentary at the same time. Got Universal! We like to see the scene the actor or director is talking about while they are describing it. Charge a little more for it. We'll buy it.

The Final Word:
Classic movie, classic disc, a must have.
