American Red Cross volunteers have been deployed to the hardest hit areas of Katrina’s destruction, supplying hundreds of thousands victims left homeless with critical necessities. By making a financial gift to Hurricane 2005 Relief, the Red Cross can provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.

Reactor Interactive is an independent game venture created by three aspiring game creators Ryan Buhr, Drew Clark and Brian Linton. They participated in the Independent Gaming Competition, "Big C", at the Slamdance Film Festival 2005. There they presented their current project, "Sector 13", a Space Flight Simulator game that takes the genre refreshingly to new levels. This game will incorporate Single Player Campaign in which you can replay any level in one of four available roles, Cooperative and Multiplayer Modes that will include on-line Multiplayer.

I personally played this game in the Training Mode and had a blast with it. I felt guilty putting so much time in playing, but these guys didn't seem to mind at all. I saw myself as a stick-hog enjoying the game as much as I did. The ease of flight control use didn't overshadow the realistic challenge of game play. The 3D graphics and the accompanying music soundtrack are topnotch.

So far "Sector 13" is the product of 4 years of independent development and going strong. Hopefully this game will be available soon for all of us. In the meantime, check out their website at reactorinteractive.net.
